Why codes can be 6, 8 or 10 digits

HS is commonly 6 digits. The EU extends it to 8-digit CN (Combined Nomenclature), and then to 10-digit TARIC (2 extra digits after CN).

Many websites show the 8-digit CN (e.g. 85183000). When the TARIC suffix is 00, the 10-digit form is 8518300000. SendLabel stores EU TARIC-style 10-digit codes and allows searching by a 2–10 digit prefix.

How to search

You can search with Chinese, English or German product keywords, or with a 2- to 10-digit code prefix. The system prioritizes candidates that best match the input.

If there is no result, try another wording, add the material or use case, or submit feedback so the search index can be improved.

What declarable and intermediate mean

Declarable means the code is a suitable final declaration candidate. Intermediate means the code is still a higher-level category and must be narrowed down further.

If you plan to use the result for customs filing, prefer a declarable leaf code whenever possible.

What to do after finding a candidate

From the search page, you can continue to create an international shipment or open the customs form directly, then confirm the code against the real goods before submission.
